how to remove windshield wiper motor on Chevrolet Blazer

Remove negative cable from battery, remove connector from wiper motor, remove wiper arms, remove plastic cover below windscreen (try to find all screws before removing; it can be removed very easy but will break if you forget to remove any screw)

Remove the center lug on the motor while fixing the drive mechanism to the wiper arms with large pliers; remove the mechism from the motor, open the 3 fixing bolt of the motor and remove it.

Reassembly vice versa.

----------------

  • Disconnect the negative terminal on the battery. Loosen the retaining nut on the negative cable clamp and lift the clamp off the negative terminal.

  • Remove the screws on the cowl of the Blazer at the base of the windshield on the outside of the vehicle. Some model years use several bolts instead of screws to hold the cowl in place. Remove the cowl.

  • Remove the electrical connector through the cowl opening that is connected to the Blazer's wiper motor.

  • Open the hood and remove the mounting bolts on the wiper motor. The motor is secured to the firewall.

  • Pull the motor off the firewall and install the new wiper motor. Installation is the reverse of removal.
