How to replace Valve Covers on Ford Truck 4.2L Engine?

The procedure is similar for both ford and Lincoln car models:-----

Ford Truck 4.2L engine Valve Cover removal procedure is as follows.
Its for

F150 1/2 ton P/U 2WD/ 4WD
F250 Super Duty P/U 2WD/4WD
F350 Super Duty P/U 2WD/4WD
F450 Super Duty P/U 2WD/4WD
F550 Super Duty P/U 2WD/4WD

And Lincoln Mark LT car models.

4.2L Engine
Left Side

1. Disconnect the crankcase breather hose.
2. Remove the bolt and position the oil level indicator and tube assembly aside.
3. Remove the nuts and the engine lifting eye.  
   
   NOTE

   Spark plug wires must be connected to the correct spark plug. Mark the spark plug wires for assembly reference. It is important to twist the spark plug boots while pulling upward to avoid possible damage to the spark plug wires.
4. Using the special tool, with a twisting motion, disconnect the 3 spark plug wires from the spark plugs.
5. Disconnect the 2 spark plug wire retainers and position the spark plug wires aside.
6. Remove the 3 bolts, the 2 stud bolts and the LH valve cover.
7. Remove and discard the LH valve cover gasket.
8. To install, reverse the removal procedure. Install a new valve cover gasket. Torque the lifting eye to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.) Torque the valve cover bolts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.). Lubricate the inside of the spark plug boots with silicone brake caliper grease and dielectric compound.

Right Side

1. Remove the ignition coil.
2. Disconnect the PCV valve hose and electrical connector.
3. Remove the nuts and the engine lifting eye.
4. Detach the spark plug wire retainers.
5. Remove the bolt and position the radio interference capacitor aside.
6. Remove the bolts, the stud bolts and the RH valve cover.
7. Remove and discard the RH valve cover gasket.
8. To install, reverse the removal procedure. Install a new RH valve cover gasket. Tighten the engine lifting eye to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.). Tighten the radio interference capacitor aside to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.). Tighten the valve cover bolts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
